These are great little euro nymph rods but I have been using them as single hand trout Spey rods .. add a 180 grain Sa integrated skagit and a 60 grain 10 foot tip and let it rip .. easy 80 foot casts and great sensitivity ..

Good starter kit

Excellent. I have salt-water fly fishing gear for roughly $200 including rod case. I caught fish with the first use of the reel. I caught fish with the first use of the rod. It replaces an Orvis 7/8 system. Slightly less fancy, but I believe it to be stronger. Smooth and accurate casting. Great job.

Wild Water Die Cast 7 Weight or 8 Weight Fly Reel

Bought this Tenkara rod because I have the 7 piece Wild Water 5 weight fly rod and love it… So far I have only gotten out with the Tenkara rod once but I would say it’s just as good as the higher dollar rods manufactured by other companies. There’s definitely going to be a learning curve to overcome but this rod was a great investment in my fly fishing rod collection.
