  • FLY ROD: 5 weight, 8', 4 Piece, medium-fast action, IM8 graphite. Has machined aluminum reel seat and laser etched butt cap, 7” long, Western style cork handle with compressed cork accent rings, stainless steel stripper guide with silicon carbide rings, stainless single foot guides and tip top. Each section is 26.625” long. Rod weight is 4.0 ounces.
  • ROD CASE: 27” hard tube rod case with, reel pouch and side storage pouch with zipper. The case will hold rod, reel, fly box and all the accessories. Case has a carry strap and hang ring. Rod Bag: 4-section cloth rod bag with ties. Fly rod is placed in the bag before storing in the tube for the best protection.
  • FLY REEL: 85mm diameter spool, die cast aluminum, adjustable disc drag. Comes preinstalled with chartreuse, WF-5F, weight forward 5, floating fly line, 20# orange backing and 9’ 5X tapered monofilament leader. All Wild Water fly reels are easily changed from left to right hand retrieve. Reel will come in left hand retrieve.

All fly fishing kits are not created equal. There are a lot of packages being sold by new, overseas sellers looking to make a quick buck that have never even cast a fly rod or seen a trout. The newcomers with anonymous brands can only copy what we have created. 



The copy is never as good as the original! Wild Water has been offering the best package for the money since 2006. Unlike some cheap, generic packages found online, Wild Water has selected and tested each component in our starter packages to make sure you get only the best. 

Yes! We actually use our own rods. Wild Water doesn’t put components in our kits that you don’t need just to make it seem like you are getting a good deal. In most cases we redesigned components of the kit to make it work better than the competition.



The only other USA companies that do the same level of design and testing are going to charge you over $200 for a similar product. Every Wild Water package arrives at your door ready-to-fish. All you need to do is put the rod together, attach the reel, thread the line and tie on a fly.

This package deal exceeded my expectations by a mile! Only concern is that I needed it for a left handed grandson and it was set up for a right handed person. Relatively easy to switch. Great purchase!

I really like the rod but I have had some problem with the reel. The line pulls out pass the bottom support and comes out of the reel from the back instead of under the reel like it is suppose to. I've had to pull the spool out and put the line back under the support while out in the middle of a stream fishing. There is a "grinding" sound in the reel sometimes when reeling in line.

Even with the reel problem I have been telling others about your products and how much I like the rod.
