Why do you want a short fly rod? The answer is simple. Sometimes there isn't enough room to cast a 9 foot long fly rod. Even a rod that is reduced down to 8 1/2 feet is big improvement in some situations. Wild Water Fly Fishing has short fly rods for every situation. 8' 6", 8' and 7' rods are very popular for fishing small creeks. Our smallest fly rod is 5' 6". All of these rods are four pieces which makes them very easy to strore and perfect for travel.
