Fly Rod: 3-weight, 5'6”, 4 Piece, medium-fast action IM8 matte black graphite fly rod. Has machined black aluminum reel seat and laser etched butt cap, 5 ½” long, cigar style cork handle with compressed cork accent rings, stainless steel stripper guide with silicon carbide rings, stainless single foot guides and tip top. Each section is 18” long.
Rod Case: 21 ½” hard tube rod case with, reel pouch and side storage pouch with zipper. The case will hold rod, reel, fly box and all the accessories. Case has a carry strap and hang ring.
Rod Bag: 4-section cloth rod bag with ties. Fly rod is placed in the bag before storing in the tube for the best protection.
Fly Reel: 75mm diameter spool, die cast aluminum, adjustable disc drag. Comes preinstalled with chartreuse, WF3-F, weight forward 3, floating fly line, 20# orange backing and 7.5’ 5X tapered monofilament leader. All Wild Water fly reels are easily changed from left to right hand retrieve. Reel will come in left hand retrieve unless right hand is requested.
Fly Box: Waterproof, Floating, 5.25" x 3.5" x 1.25", custom box design, custom foam design, holds up to 372 flies.

Perfect! Exactly what I needed!

Fly fished on vacation a few times but never owned my own gear. Research led me to find that most rods are 9ft long... way too tall for what I'm trying to do in the tree-dense creeks near my home. A quick online search led me to Wild Waters' 3-wt, 5'6" rod & reel combo. I set everything up by watching their videos in my kitchen, and the next morning, I pulled in 9 fish (panfish, catfish) using the flies that came in the pack! Unbelievable value - so glad I bought it. My buddy even ordered one the day mine came in! Fits in my backpack while I e-bike to different unpressured fishing holes. Get it.

Small Stream Fly Fishing

As this is my first Fly Fishing kit, I cannot compare to others but overall
I found the quality and feel to be very well made, the case was very nice.

In the beginning line did not cast as smoothly as I had hoped, but it may have been that I was using too heavy of a Hopper/Fly set up because when I remove the hopper for a lighter fly, it did improve. It could also be my inexperience.

I am not sure if this is the line quality or not, but wanted to put it out there for anyone else dipping their toes into Fly Fishing for the first time.

But I am very happy with the purchase and am looking forward to using this combo much more. The size is perfect for the small streams and creeks I love to fish.

Love this kit! Rod is super nice quality and everything has worked the way it should. I really like the small size for creek fishing tho it does feel a lot different to cast than my 8fter.
