  • Fly Rod: 3-weight, 5'6”, 4 Piece, medium-fast action IM8 matte black graphite fly rod. Has machined black aluminum reel seat and laser etched butt cap, 5 ½” long, cigar style cork handle with compressed cork accent rings, stainless steel stripper guide with silicon carbide rings, stainless single foot guides and tip top. Each section is 18” long.
  • Rod Case: 21 ½” hard tube rod case with, reel pouch and side storage pouch with zipper. The case will hold rod, reel, fly box and all the accessories. Case has a carry strap and hang ring.
  • Rod Bag: 4-section cloth rod bag with ties. Fly rod is placed in the bag before storing in the tube for the best protection.
  • Fly Reel: 75mm diameter spool, die cast aluminum, adjustable disc drag. Comes preinstalled with chartreuse, WF3-F, weight forward 3, floating fly line, 20# orange backing and 7.5’ 5X tapered monofilament leader. All Wild Water fly reels are easily changed from left to right hand retrieve. Reel will come in left hand retrieve unless right hand is requested.

All fly fishing kits are not created equal. There are a lot of packages being sold by new, overseas sellers looking to make a quick buck that have never even cast a fly rod or seen a trout. The newcomers with anonymous brands can only copy what we have created. 



The copy is never as good as the original! Wild Water has been offering the best package for the money since 2006. Unlike some cheap, generic packages found online, Wild Water has selected and tested each component in our starter packages to make sure you get only the best. 

Yes! We actually use our own rods. Wild Water doesn’t put components in our kits that you don’t need just to make it seem like you are getting a good deal. In most cases we redesigned components of the kit to make it work better than the competition.



The only other USA companies that do the same level of design and testing are going to charge you over $200 for a similar product. Every Wild Water package arrives at your door ready-to-fish. All you need to do is put the rod together, attach the reel, thread the line and tie on a fly.

I bought this set up to do some smaller brook fishing in West Virginia. When I received it and set up it up for the next day the reel had a sticking spot when reeling in. I contact wild water fly fishing to let them know about the reel. With less than a minute call a new reel was on its way!
We had so much fun with this short rod my son bought one the next Monday.

Great Customer Service!

I absolutely love this company. I received the Standard Kit for Father's Day 2023 and have used the kit numerous times. I've primarily been a bass fishermen and never really used a fly rod. The setup videos were very beneficial. However, the best part of Wild Water is their customer service. They are extremely courteous and very helpful. I needed a part replaced (not their fault)and making one phone call and an explanation a replacement was on the way. You don't get that kind of service much anymore and it's refreshing to see a business provide that. I will definitely buy from them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a good setup.
