Just got the 11' 5WT Switch rod.
I have both 11' 7WT and 11' 5WT Switch rods now.
These are amazing rods. 11' 7WT is matched nicely with RIO Switch Chucker #6 (420 grain}. 11' 5WT is matched nicely with RIO Switch Chucker #4 (325 grain).
Both of these combos cast like a dream. 7WT let you cast even heavier flies and sinking tips or VersiLeaders/PolyLeaders. Both 7WT and 5WT take sinking VersiLeaders and PolyLeaders nicely.
I have other rods rods single handed and Spey rods, but most of the time I will use these 2 rods. My Redington Chromer 12.6 7WT rod is only used when I need to cast really heavy sinking tips and flies or need more distance, especially when back casting is not possible due to trees/ bushes behind me.
Both of these Wild Water Switch rods cast nicely overhead back cast and Spey cast. That is why I like them so much ...very practical.
Another thing is now there is a trend with Fast Action rods. I prefer Medium Fast or Slow Action rods. I like to spread the load and rod bend on longer portion of the rod. Just a personal preference. Both of these 11' Switch rods are Slow Action.
Highly recommend to buy. You will love it.
